For a traditional rustic antique matt finish, suitable for indoor use only, apply 2 to 3 coats of boiled linseed oil followed by 1 to 2 coats of antique wax.

Before sealing, make sure the tiles and adhesive bed are fully dry and cured, and that all joints are clean and free from dust, dirt and residue. Always use clean, new tools. It is also recommended to test the chosen treatment on sample tiles first to check porosity and absorption.

Drying times vary depending on site conditions, so follow the manufacturer’s instructions and your installer’s advice. Foot traffic should be kept to a minimum for the first week while the seal cures.
