Natural Variation
These handmade terracotta tiles are crafted using traditional clay firing methods. As a natural product, variations in colour, tone and surface texture are part of their authentic character.
Each tile may display subtle differences, which together create the warm and natural appearance terracotta flooring is known for.
Sealing
These tiles are supplied unsealed.
For a natural invisible matt finish we recommend applying 2–3 coats of impregnator stone sealer followed by 1–2 coats of stain stop. This protects the tiles without darkening the natural clay colour.
Traditional sealing method rustic antique matt finish
For indoor use only. Ensure tiles and adhesive bed are fully dry and cured, with joints clean and free from dust, dirt and residues. Always use clean, new tools.
Apply 2 to 3 coats of boiled linseed oil followed by 1 to 2 coats of antique wax. Test on sample tiles first to check porosity and absorption.
Drying times will vary depending on site conditions. Follow manufacturer guidance and installer advice. Keep foot traffic to a minimum for the first week while the seal cures.
Delivery Information
Our pallet delivery service is £95.00 per pallet, accommodating up to 26 m² per pallet. If your order requires additional pallets, each extra pallet is charged at £95.00.
