Why Choose Baked Earth Terracotta?
Terracotta is all we specialise in.
Our collections have been chosen for customers looking for something with genuine warmth, individuality and character rather than a mass-produced floor.
Our exclusive ranges include beautiful handmade terracotta in a carefully considered selection of colours, textures, shapes and formats.
The natural clay and traditional production methods create subtle variations from tile to tile. These differences are part of what makes a finished terracotta floor so distinctive – no two installations are exactly the same.
We supply both traditional and contemporary interiors, from period properties and country homes to modern kitchens, bathrooms, restaurants, hotels and outdoor spaces.
Can I Order Just One Pallet?
Absolutely.
You don't need to be ordering a container to buy from us internationally.
Our minimum international order is just 20m², making our collections accessible for individual rooms, kitchens, renovations and private residential projects.
Depending on the tile format and weight, a pallet can typically carry approximately 26m² of terracotta tiles.
If you're unsure how much you need, send us your measurements and we’ll be happy to help work out the quantity.
Do You Supply Large International Projects?
Yes.
For architects, interior designers, contractors, developers and hospitality projects, we can supply multiple pallets and substantial project quantities.
For larger orders, our team can work with you on quantities, availability, lead times and the most appropriate freight option for your destination.
Please contact us at the planning stage if possible, particularly where your project requires a substantial quantity or phased deliveries.
Can You Arrange Full Container Shipping?
Yes.
For larger projects and trade orders, we can arrange full container shipments to major seaports worldwide.
This can be a particularly efficient option for substantial residential developments, hotels, restaurants, commercial projects and international trade customers.
Tell us the collection, quantity and destination and we can look at the most suitable shipping option and prepare a tailored quotation.
Do You Deliver to Ireland?
Yes. We can arrange pallet deliveries throughout the Republic of Ireland.
Our minimum order is 20m², with delivery normally taking approximately 7–10 working days.
Simply send us the tiles you're interested in, the quantity required and your full delivery address and we'll prepare a quotation for the tiles and transport.
Do You Deliver Across Europe?
Yes.
We can arrange road freight and pallet deliveries to destinations throughout Europe.
From a single pallet for a private renovation to multiple pallets for an architectural or commercial project, we'll obtain a delivery quotation based on your destination and order size.
How Much Does International Delivery Cost?
Every international delivery is quoted individually.
Rather than applying a standard international delivery charge, we calculate transport based on your actual order, including the destination, quantity, weight and number of pallets required.
For larger overseas projects, we can also look at container freight where this offers a more suitable shipping solution.
Send us your requirements and we'll prepare a tailored quotation.
Will I Pay UK VAT?
Where an order qualifies as an export from Great Britain, we can normally invoice the goods without UK VAT, subject to the relevant export requirements.
Depending on the destination, local VAT, import duties, customs clearance or other local charges may be payable when the goods enter the destination country.
These charges vary from country to country and are normally payable locally by the customer.
What Does DAP Mean?
Many of our international deliveries are arranged on DAP (Delivered at Place) terms.
In simple terms, this means we arrange the transport of your tiles to the agreed delivery destination.
Any applicable local import VAT, customs duties, clearance fees or other import charges are normally payable by the customer.
The carrier or customs agent will contact you if any payment or additional information is required for customs clearance.
Your delivery terms will be confirmed with your quotation.
Will I Pay Additional Charges in Ireland?
For qualifying exports to the Republic of Ireland, your Baked Earth order can be invoiced without UK VAT.
For orders supplied on DAP terms, any applicable Irish import VAT, customs clearance or other local import charges are payable by the customer.
The carrier or customs agent will normally contact you directly if anything is required before the goods can be released for delivery.
Do Private Customers in Ireland Need an EORI Number?
A private customer purchasing tiles for their own home would not normally require an EORI number.
If any additional information is required for your particular shipment, the carrier or customs agent will contact you during the clearance process.
How Long Does International Delivery Take?
For the Republic of Ireland, delivery is normally approximately 7–10 working days.
European delivery times depend on the destination and transport route.
Worldwide and container shipments vary depending on the destination, sailing schedule and customs clearance.
We'll provide an estimated delivery time when preparing your quotation.
Can I Order Samples Before Placing an International Order?
Yes.
We understand that choosing terracotta is very personal, particularly when selecting tiles for an entire room or larger project.
Please contact us with the collection you're interested in and your location and we'll advise on sample availability and international sample delivery.
